I've opted out of the "stretch to your resolution" look - which I will miss - for the rotating headers. A few reasons:
- I really did not like my header I've had for all this time. It was meant to be a placeholder more than anything, but just got forgotten about.
- I like messing in photoshop, but don't really have much of a medium (besides the occasional dedicated post) for sharing. This gives me a little space in the world for that.
- The randomness of it all keeps it looking fresh.
Now I just have to stay committed to adding new ones every now and then.

You Suck At Photoshop
Really, you do. Don't worry, Donnie Hoyle (Dane Cook) is here to help.
Comedic genius, right up my alley. It really is pretty informative too. I wish I woulda known about this during Odin's, I definitely would have just made people watch these.
There's more than this, but you got the idea...

Another side of me
No, not in the creepy kind of way.
I have a little side hobby in digital art and post some of my work over on a little website called Deviant Art. It's a fun little site where anyone of varying skill levels, from honestly pretty crappy to professional can post some of their work and recieve some good encouragement, constructive criticism, or just the pleasure of anonymously (well, as much as the internetz offers at least) presenting a different side of them.
I tend towards the "honestly pretty crappy" and "pleasure of presenting (relatively) anonymously" side of things. But hey, it's still fun.
Some of the stuff has already been posted here, some of it a few of you will recognize from a certain school publication, other of it just plain sucks. Even a blind squirrel strikes oil sometimes though (or finds a nut, whichever comes first), so check it out maybe.
I'll tack it to the good ole' sidebar from now on so as to ease the hassle of stalking.

I take what I'm given...
Heck, I could always be a CD cover designer. The rules I used to create this particular design are here. It was the perfect time-waster for my hour before my two hour calculus bonanza (w00t).
Apparently this Robichaud guy was a member of Canadian Parliament in the 50s and early 60s. So I guess that makes said "band" a more contemporary Franz Ferdinand of sorts. The particular album title though leads me to believe they would be uber-emo, with a slightly bluegrass twang (as indicated by the rolling landscape. This would probably add up to a solid 3-star allmusic rating.
I'm pretty so-so about how the dice fell on this one... maybe better luck next time. I'm sure I'll be doing this again.
If [Easy + fun]/[t] > 42, I'm always down.

Old Dog Learning New Tricks
Old is such a relative word, I love it (for now at least). I've dabbled in Photoshop (R) for about (holy crap...) six years now but have stuck to the photo-editing side of it for most of that time. It wasn't until last year that I really dove head first into the design aspect of it. Well, tonight I had a heaping chuck of free time for the first time in a week or two, so I decided it was high time to take my tablet PC to the max and give free-hand a little try.
Disclaimer: I am in no way an artist. Really the only exercise my right-side gets is through Photoshop. If you want to see an artist, look elsewhere. And yes, chemguy, I did find out about that through your blog. I'm a grade A creeper.
Without futher adieu:

The Blueprint.
My ultra-300-esque back, with what could potentially be inked on me in the coming year. Nothing definite yet, but I think I have a place at least. And before the "don't get a tattoo" talk comes, I know, I know.
EDIT: Here is a larger image. And for the record, I did draw it on, and it shows once you see it a little bigger. Here is what I was thinking of, and here is where it came from. Like always, every tattoo has a story, but that story will be for another day/if/when I actually get it.

Ah yes. It begins.
The first major wave of procrastination taking hold as I type. Chemistry test arriving at 4:30 (QUICK: what is a good acronym for soluble/insoluble ionic compounds, oh wonderful acronym people?!), then a dinner meeting from 6-8, THEN I have the honor of typing a 4 page paper due tomorrow at 9AM.
Should be real fun.
In the mean time.... I present to you what is really occupying my mind:

Not NEARLY as good as my previous (see: last year) venture, but a good time-waster.

PotW numero dos
This week brings a(n) (ironic) little tribute to moms everywhere. Yes, even those ghetto-rock-smoking one's that still care about their ghetto-souljas.
I feel like this is a poster I would see in one of those hard-ass frat boy rooms, right above the sock drawer that hides the little worn family picture, which is under the stack of Playboys.
Without further adeu:

All my "desktops" will be 1280x768. If you are as big of a loser as me, which I figure you aren't, go ahead and click on the picture to get the full-size one. And I really don't plan on having every Photoshop being this unexciting. I was just doing this one night anyways and liked how it was turning out.
