Powerpoint sucks

The U.S. military agrees.

Not only is it a source of time consuming busy-work for 50% of the nation's engineering co-ops. I have made more than my fair share of ppt presentations, both for my use in presentations and (far more often) for distributions to higher-ups for information sharing purposes with nothing more to accompany it than the rest of the cc list in the email I attached it to. Not only does this result in times where there are 10 questions from 10 different people, it also contributes to a severe lack of the "why" through focusing on the "what."

High schools, colleges, and apparently now military branches are to blame. I don't think I have given one presentation since my freshman year of high school (outside of IB English, shout out to my girl Harding) that wasn't in some way accompanied by a PowerPoint presentation.

Next time I'm making a tri-fold, elementary school science fair style. Stick that in your pipe and smoke it.
